My friends Liz and Sam opened up a toy store! It’s called Toy de Jour (Vintage, Toys, Arts & Farts) and it’s located near Western and Armitage in Chicago.
I feel old saying that I’ve known them both for about seven years and I’m still excited and amazed that they have done this. Every party they’ve hosted has a handful of people attending for the first time. Each person would make their way to the toy room and spin around in amazement.
Liz and Sam have both put so much work, and will continue to do so, into this store that it still boggles my mind. When they first got the store and started the process of opening it, I was there for a couple of days to take some process shots.
Visiting the store for the first time when it was completed was such a shock. A few days ago I went back to the store to take some more completed photos. The store is beautiful and absolutely shows their passion.
If you ever need a toy, or a fart, or you are just in the area, stop in and say hello. They’re cool people with a great store.
