The Walk 4 Hearing in Chicago had a lot of happy participants!

Here are a few of my favorite moments from the Walk 4 Hearing awareness walk that took place in the fall of 2018. The event was organized by the Hearing Loss Association of America, and it took place at the Diversey Harbor in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago.

Connecting Art with Advocacy

My photographs capture the beauty of the Chicago lakefront, but they also represent a link between the ecology of the Great Lakes and our human dependency on the environment.

The perception is that our region possesses a seemingly endless abundance of water — but this misconception distracts from the fragility of this freshwater ecosystem and undermines its importance.

Using art as a pathway for discovery, I invite you to embrace the aesthetic joy I find while exploring the lakefront — and learn more about the natural world surrounding us.
